What I Like:
Effective treatment of foreground and background elements- You solidly establish the person and bird in the foreground, using simple washes for the background.
The person's hair- I wish I could paint curls like that, as well as the facial expression. At the same time you use an appropriate line weight to show what hair is in the distance.
What to think about:
This is more of a marketing idea, but for Valentine's it may be prudent to paint a card or two with a clearer Valentine focus. I understand where you're going with the look of longing and the messenger pigeon, but the effect may be too subtle for someone perusing this card in the store. A more active gesture may also help, with the figure releasing the bird into flight, or the note with a token or symbol of affection.
Once again, really good image. I'm thoroughly impressed.
I see now that I have to learn a realy-realy lot about marketing, and knowing my audience. I should've gone further with the design of this in the shugarcoated side... but this way it is more personal for me right now.
So in longterms this speakes more of me, and my realtionship now, than of valentines day.
